About me
Danielle Booker (M.Ed) is a dedicated educational leader and the Vice Principal of Jessie Duncan School. A proud Métis woman with deep ties to Northern Alberta, Danielle’s leadership is informed by her rich tapestry of Algonquin, Cree, Michif, French, and Polish ancestry.
With over a decade of teaching experience ranging from her early recognition as an Edwin Parr Award recipient to her recent work as a cultural advisor within the EIPS First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Education team—Danielle is committed to fostering inclusive spaces where identity is celebrated. Her academic background in Psychology, Sociology, and Educational Leadership provides a robust foundation for her work in supporting students and families.
Passionate about the "heart-work" of reconciliation, Danielle is a student of traditional Métis dance, mentored by Lyle Donald and the Edmonton Métis Dancers. She believes that by sharing the rhythm of her culture, she can inspire students to walk proudly in their own identities.
